A Mistletoe Christmas
With Mistletoe in our name, Christmas is the time for enjoying the festivities and with all the decorations inside and out, is ready and waiting for our guests during December.
We’ve been talking to our visitors and customers, and from January, we’re delighted to be able to offer the availability of short breaks at Mistletoe Cottage.
This year, we’ve been pleased to welcome visitors from all over the UK, and even some from France, and with all of the beautiful scenery and attractions that Herefordshire has to offer, Mistletoe Cottage is perfectly located to visit them all.
Whether it is for a full week or two, or just a 3-night or 4-night break, it is really the best choice to get away from it all. The scenery is stunning – you don’t have to drive far to enjoy immense swathes of countryside that’s not even spoiled with buildings, or delightful towns and villages, where the welcome is friendly, and the old-fashioned quaintness is a sight to behold.
Of course, there’s nature walks and cycle rides, history and heritage, family activities and adventures, quality food, cider and delis, books and art, there is something for everyone all within a short distance of Kinnersley. Bring the dogs and let them have a holiday too!

In the last edition, we told you about the new Shepherd’s Hut that arrives at Mistletoe Cottage during December. It will be up and running in time for March, and you can make your booking for SIX people.
The hut is available to guests who have booked the house for a short break, and can be used for two more people to join them.
Maybe some friends, perhaps the children, or even the in-laws?
The hut inside provides sleeping for one or two people; there is electricity, a small woodburner, and a table and chairs. There is a kettle to use, and a flask to bring over the milk from the house.
There is a nominal fee of just £10.00 per person per week, but we do ask that you provide your own bedding/sleeping bags and towels, etc., for the people staying in there.
An independent shower and loo are available on the ground floor in the cottage, so guests in the hut can pop across and use the facilities there. And of course, if there’s just two or four people in the cottage, the shepherd’s hut can be used to sit out and enjoy the garden with a drink as you relax during the day and evening.
When it is ready for booking, our website will cover all the details of adding the shepherd’s hut to your stay, and we do hope that you can stay with a little touch of adventure to your week away from home.
