Mistletoe Cottage builders appointed
Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback on Mistletoe Cottage; we are expecting to be taking bookings for holidays in early 2018, but until then, the development work continues.
Approval for the planning permission conditions are expected anytime now from Herefordshire Council planning team, and we are confident we have satisfied their requirements; the tenders have been returned, and we have appointed Jenkinson Builders from Brecon in Powys to start work towards the end of August.
Jenkinson Builders are a small building and restoration company, with a strong ethic for tradition and quality, and were founded 50 years ago. Now run by brothers, Dave and Jim Jenkinson and their team of 30 craftsmen, they have maintained a reputation for providing work of the very highest standard, matched by good old fashioned values for reliability and personal customer service. We’re looking forward to working with them.
Although Mistletoe Cottage will have a traditional look and feel, we are hoping it will be heated by an air source heat pump, which is excellent for the environment, and the most up-to-date technological method of heating and providing hot water for a new build property.
Of course, in winter, there will be also the wood burner to provide the cosiness that visitors will enjoy.

All forlorn, empty and ready for demolition.
